  • Q. What is Voluntary Return?

    Voluntary Return is a free service for people thinking about returning to their country of origin. If you decide that this is the right choice for you, we can take care of everything including booking your flights and making sure you have all the documents you need.

  • Q. Who can apply?

    The following people can apply for Voluntary Return:

    People from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who are asylum seekers;

    People from outside the EEA who are not legally allowed to live in Ireland;

    Anybody who has been a victim of trafficking;

    Children under age 18 from outside of the EEA who are separated from their family;

    Sometimes we can help people in need who do not fit into the above categories.

    We know that every situation is unique and that choosing to leave Ireland is a tough decision. We will make sure you have time to think about your decision and ensure this is the right choice for you. Once we complete your application we can let you know how long the process should take.

  • Q. Can I change my mind?

    We know that choosing to leave Ireland is a big decision. Our team are here to help you find out all the information you need before you make your decision. All enquiries are strictly confidential and you can change your mind whenever you like.

  • Q. How much luggage can I take with me?

    Every airline has a different policy on the amount of luggage a passenger can have. Once we have confirmed your final travel arrangements we will let you know the exact amount of luggage you can take with you.

  • Q. Can I ever come back to Ireland?
